Splinter, Michael Hoppen Gallery, London

For the second time, the Michael Hoppen Gallery opens Splinter, a one-day art fair on 30 November. As before, the event will offer a wide range of 19th, 20th and 21st century photography from well known practitioners including Joe Szabo, Araki (polaroids), Karl Blossfeldt, Colin Jones and Shoji Ueda to anonymous work.

Many of the pieces are priced at a few hundred pounds and all of them are under £1,000. It is the perfect environment for new and experienced collectors to browse through hundreds of photographs and books to add to or start a collection, or simply find the perfect Christmas gift. The participants and dealers involved include Jenny Allsworth, Pierre Spake, RCA and Roland Belgrave.

There will also be a special presentation of the latest collaboration between the Michael Hoppen Gallery and Filed Under / of Germany, who have worked together to produce a number of silk scarves and pocket handkerchiefs. All the pieces are handmade in Germany and are an edition of 150, designed by Annahita Kamali, using anonymous photographs from the Michael Hoppen Gallery collection. The pocket handkerchiefs (45 x 45cm) are priced £70 and the larger piece, Anonymous Venus (106 x 130cm) is £200.
