Set in the Embankment Galleries at London’s Somerset House from 27 April – 20 May 2012, The Sony World Photography Awards exhibition presents the best of the entries from the 2012 competition. From professionals to students from 171 countries across the globe, it offers visitors an extraordinary range of contemporary photography, covering a wide variety of subjects from photojournalism and documentary to fashion, nature, architecture and sport. Curated by Michael Benson, the exhibition also features City Projects, a photographic depiction of cities across the world, and Our Lives, a collaboration with Save the Children that offers an intimate glimpse into the lives of British children growing up in poverty.
