Multiplied Fair 2012, London

Featuring a carefully curated selection of 41 international contemporary galleries, Multiplied opens today and will run until 15 October. Christie’s, South Kensington, will be home to the UK’s only contemporary prints and editions art fair.

Collating work from around the world, the fair will showcase the leading galleries in tertiary fine art print facilities, unveiling work from The LeRoy Neiman Centre for Print Studies, Columbia University, New York, and The Centre for Fine Print Research, Bristol. Alongside these leading galleries will be a specially curated exhibition of recent MA graduates from the Royal College of Art, London. Visitors can also expect to encounter other new exhibitors, including Bearspace, Deptford, Grey Area Editions and LN Editions, Paris, Ediciones Originales, Barcelona and Philagraphika, Philadelphia.

Aimed to showcase emerging talent, Multiplied, places developing artists alongside the already established, such as international artists from Manifold Editions, Karsten Schubert, TAG Fine Art, Sims Reed, Riflemaker, Tristan Barbara Editions and the Whitechapel Gallery. The director of the fair, Murray Macaulay, notes, “Multiplied celebrates all that is new and vibrant in contemporary art in editions from all over the world – from Oaxaca to Philadelphia, Paris to New York, Barcelona to Dublin, and Shoreditch to Deptford. Featuring print, digital art and photography, artistʼs books and 3-D multiples, Multiplied really is an excellent way to connect with contemporary art.”

Multiplied 12 – 15 October, Christie’s South Kensington, 85 Brompton Road, London, SW7 3LD.
