SCOPE Art Show 2016, Basel

SCOPE Art Show celebrates its 10th anniversary in Basel at its new location at Clarahuus, just three blocks from Messeplatz. A brief walk from the main fair, SCOPE Basel’s well-appointed venue offers guests a select view of the contemporary art world. In 2016, SCOPE will welcome 85 International Exhibitors alongside 10 Breeder Program galleries.

Taking place on 14-19 June, the fair unites exhibitors from four continents and over 20 countries including China, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Italy, Iran, Russia, Turkey, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Germany, UK, Spain, and Canada. SCOPE exhibitor highlights include: Kir Royal Gallery, NG Art & Gallery, We Gallery, The Public House of Art, Joerg Heitsch Gallery, Montoro12 Contemporary Art, Rademakers Gallery, Laurent Marthaler Contemporary Art, Wunderkammern, and Francesca Antonini Arte Contemporanea.

Recognised as the original incubator for emerging work, SCOPE’s Breeder Program also marks its 16th year of introducing new galleries to the contemporary market. Breeder Program alumni include: Peres Projects, John Connelly Presents, Galeria Enrique Guerrero, Daniel Reich Gallery, Bischoff/ Weiss, and Spinello Projects, amongst others. The participants for 2016 are: beta galeria, Anna Zorina Gallery, ORLINDA LAVERGNE Art Gallery, Galerie Katapult, GmbH, and Andrea Rehder Arte Contemporanea.

Beginning on 14 June with its Platinum First View Event from 10am-1pm, followed by the VIP + Press Preview 1-4pm, and the public Vernissage, 4-7pm, SCOPE Basel will be open to the public 15 – 19 June, 11am-8pm, daily. Attendees are invited to join Artnet + SCOPE for an engaging panel discussion that delves into the ethos of corporate collections. on Wednesday 15 June at 3pm in the SCOPE VIP Lounge.
