Varvara Shavrova’s practice is focused on family heritage through the process of remembering, recalling, retracing and re-enacting stories, assembled as a visual montage. Migrants/ Blankets is a series of wearable objects that contain personal memories. Featuring images from family albums, the blankets represent the desire to reconnect with something warm, familiar and personal.
