Escalator 0.3 is a free-standing sculpture, an enlarged version of escalator steps. The form, far removed from a real escalator, is designed to evoke the idea of movement whilst being static. The angle of the arms addresses the upwards direction while the connection between the base and arms hints at a sliding motion.
