Peter Gibbons sees his whimsical images as illustrations from stories that will never be told, evoking fantastic tales of pilgrims, beasts and adventurers. He compares his own approach to that of a knight-errant, roaming the countryside in search of the next image. The Citadel presents a nameless stronghold that fell to an unknown foe.
