Constructed across 16 archive photographs, Centotaph reflects upon the changing representations of Tehran’s historic monument, Shahyad Tower (meaning King Memorial Tower), built in 1971 in memory of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi. The work presents the tower’s new status as a cenotaph for the city of Tehran.
