Khadija Baker

The suppressed history of the Kurdish people is the point of departure for a wider examination of processes of exile and loss of identity in Khadija Baker’s multimedia installations. The artist employs sculptural, audio and video elements to highlight the arbitrary nature of maps and the gap between official documents and reality.
