Ivan Klem

For Nietzsche, the human being is a rope between the animal and the Übermensch (superhuman) – a rope over an abyss. Ivan Klem takes this as inspiration for his work S, the title of which is from the word “shibari”, meaning “to tie” in Japanese. He notes: “A land art project where the forest becomes a theatre of ephemeral installations.”

Klem’s previous work, H, deals with quantum mechanics and poetry, and has exhibited worldwide.
