Amy Hughes is a British artist based in New York. Thematically, her work deals with the female body. Hughes manipulates and renders flesh in oil paint, exploring the ways in which women’s bodies are depicted in contemporary visual culture. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally, and her work has sold at Sotheby’s New York.
Hughes is currently exhibiting as part of the WMOCA International Biennial Portrait Competition at the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art until 29 June. For further details, click here.
