Kusama: Reflecting the Present

Kusama: Reflecting the Present

As part of the third edition of public art festival Rockaway!, Museum of Modern Art, New York, presents Yayoi Kusama’s (b. 1929) site-specific installation of Narcissus Garden (1966–present). Comprising 1500 mirrored stainless steel spheres, the piece reflects the industrial surroundings of the now-abandoned Gateway National Recreation Area at Fort Tilden whilst commenting on notions of commercialisation.

From 1 July. Find out more here.
