Tapping into innovation, Renzo Piano: The Art of Making Buildings at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, explores 16 key projects by the prolific architect. Known for iconic structures including The Shard, London, and the Pompidou Centre, Paris, Piano is known for an inventive use form, materials and engineering.The exhibition reveals a unique visionary spirit, combining tradition and new ideas to create cultural icons. Drawing on a range of drawings, models, photography and signature full-scale maquettes, the show offers viewers insight into an unprecedented working process.
