Haunting Realities
A selection of 14 practitioners from Taiwan explore the lasting effects of authoritarianism, social ideology, environmental disaster and international politics. Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, New York, foregrounds works that resist and attempt to overcome these pressures, highlighting a shared human experience. Featured image: Shen Chao-Liang’s documentation of traveling stage trucks records a unique facet of the country’s changing culture.
