Contemporary Diversity

The Institut du Monde Arabe (IMA) and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) host the second edition of the Biennial of Photography in the Contemporary Arab World. In 2017, the Biennial focuses on two countries in the Maghrib: Tunisia and Algeria. Held simultaneously in eight Parisian venues, each exhibition comprises works by photographers from the Arab world who are either living in their native country or working abroad, and works by foreign photographers which also bear witness to the contemporary situation in the Arab countries. The Biennial champions cultural diversity and bringing together a multitude of viewpoints.

Venues: AWI (IMA), MEP, Cité Internationale des Arts, Mairie of the fourth arrondissement, Galerie Thierry Marlat, Galerie Photo 12, Galerie Clémentine de la Féronnière and Galerie Binome. Until 12 November.
