Capturing Reconstruction

Capturing Reconstruction
“I came to see the buildings as fossils of a time past.” Danny Lyon’s photographic series The Destruction of Lower Manhattan documents a period of transition, capturing the urban renewal of several neighborhoods in his hometown of New York. At once personal and timely, the collection of images offer poignant reflection on the aging infrastructure of American cities.

An exhibition runs at The Cleveland Museum of Art until 10 July. Find out more here.
