Art New York returns this year with the addition of CONTEXT New York for this year. Running from 3 – 8 May, at Pier 94, the events showcase artwork from more than 150 galleries around the world, representing 1,200 artists. The art fairs, presented by Art Miami, open New York Art Week, represent an opportunity for new or well-established art collectors, curators and advisors to view some of the best work on the global contemporary art market.

Special programmes include Digits to Digital that, featuring video works by artists such as Leah Beeferman, Brent Green and Kristin Lucas, is focussed on the physicality of the handmade, hand-built and hand-driven sources in digital or moving images. A number of site specific installations, mixing modern classic and cutting-edge art, are part of the Art in Public Spaces section.

On the sound front, SOUND POSITIONS offers immersive and intimate listening experiences for the public, from a variety of sound artists. ART FROM BERLIN presents work selected trough collaborating with German organisations such as Galleries Association of Berlin and Landesverband Berliner Galerien, with the support of the municipality of Berlin and the EU.
