American photographer Stephen Shore (b. 1947) is known for capturing everyday scenes through a pioneering use of colour. Highlighting the beauty in the mundane for five decades, the practitioner’s oeuvre comprises nostalgic 1970s urban landscapes – as highlighted here in Edwynn Houk Gallery’s diverse Summer Show – and intriguing snapshots shared on digital platforms.
