UNKLE

Where Did the Night Fall
Surrender All

Everything about this album is cool; from the stylish cover to the impressive array of guest vocalists. Released on their own label, this is the London-based UNKLE’s fourth full-length album. It is a fantastic collection of joyful soundscapes, comprising electronica, live drums, strings and percussion from The Heritage Orchestra. Mark Lanegan, formerly of Queens of the Stone Age, contributes vocals to the album, along with other artists drawn from a range of idiosyncratic genres from folk-rock to psych and cabaret punk.

It is an album to party to; recorded in locations around the world including Ibiza and Los Angeles the music is infused with energy and inspires the desire to dance right up to the final down-tempo Another Night Out. From the Kings of Leon inspired underlay on Natural Selection to the luminescent melodies and frenetic drumbeats of On a Wire, this is an exciting album. It is an incredibly varied set of songs with an infectious dynamic and a great beat that persists throughout. Turn it up and listen to it loud. More information can be found at:
