The Other Art Fair (TOAF) will be held at Victoria House from 30 March until 2 April. Presented in association with Saatchi Art, it has become a leading UK art fair for emerging artists, and has welcomed over 140,000 visitors since its inception in 2011. Each year, TOAF organises an accessible programme of opportunities and events that invites unrepresented artists to showcase their latest projects.

A popular fixture of the London art scene, it enables collectors and art enthusiasts alike to view and purchase artworks at affordable prices – direct from the artists themselves. Highlights of the upcoming London edition include scheduled tours with Saatchi Art’s Chief Curator Rebecca Wilson, who will offer expert insight into a curated selection of artists’ works as part of Saatchi Art’s Invest in Art programme. This year also sees the return of London Futures, which provides attendees with a chance to see pieces by more than 15 practitioners exhibiting in London for the first time.

TOAF audiences will be able to view works in a variety of mediums, from sculpture and works on paper to photography, painting and more – all of which have been specially selected by a committee consisting of Saatchi Art’s Chief Curator Rebecca Wilson, British design icon Lulu Guinness and Kate Bryan, the current Head of Collections for the Soho House Group. Visitors can expect to see the practices of more than 120 artists at the fair.

Ryan Stanier, TOAF Director, states: “The Other Art Fair was born from a realisation of the disparity between a London audience eager to discover the next big thing and talented artists struggling to gain recognition… The fair attracts artists with an entrepreneurial flair and long-term vision who recognise the value of participation beyond artwork sales.”

Other must-see events include The Guardian’s virtual world exhibit, Underworld, which invites visitors to gain a rare insight into the subterranean labyrinth of London’s Victorian sewers beneath the city’s busy streets. Younger visitors will be able to participate in creative art activities for free in the Kids Create corner, while pop-up refreshment stands and restaurants such as The Modern Pantry, will provide a well-earned break for audiences with a selection of contemporary cooking.
