The fifth anniversary edition of the BAFTA Qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF) will take place this year from 5 – 8 November. Tickets are now on sale for the four day event, which invites audiences to explore the beautiful and historic city of York whilst experiencing world-class cinema in a range of genres from drama, comedy and documentary to artists’ film, music video and fashion, as well as a Family Friendly programme.

For those looking to expand their knowledge of film, there are over 20 masterclasses with leading organisations in the industry, such as Channel 4, Association of Camera Operators (Star Wars, Gravity and James Bond) and Oscar and BAFTA Award Winning VFX giant Framestore (Guardians of the Galaxy and Jupiter Ascending).

New for 2015 is the festival’s first dance strand, as well as the ASFF Videotheque; a digital catalogue featuring the entire programme in one location. The popular Meet the Film Festivals event returns, presenting a chance to network with programmers from around the world. Filmmakers will be able to connect with representatives from London Short Film Festival, Raindance, Berlin Fashion Film Festival and many more.
