Spatial Experience

Spatial Experience

A major retrospective of renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando (b. 1941) at Pompidou Centre, Paris, collates 50 major projects, demonstrating an interest in simplicity and urban space.

Through minimal geometric forms and the incorporation of natural elements, the practitioner crafts unique physical experiences through spatial sensitivity.  Projects featured range from the Azuma House in Sumiyoshi (1976) to the Bourse de Commerce (stock exchange) in Paris (Autumn 2019).

The exhibition is open until 31 December. Find out more here.
