SCOPE Miami Beach 2015

SCOPE Miami Beach 2015

One of the largest international art fairs in the world, SCOPE is a premier platform for emerging contemporary art and multi-disciplinary creative programming. Recognised for its ability to forecast new visual trends, SCOPE has successfully presented over 75 art shows across 15 years in iconic locations such as Miami, Basel, New York, London and the Hamptons. In December, SCOPE will celebrate its 15th anniversary edition in Miami, as well as its third consecutive year on the sands of Miami Beach.

Attracting over 45,000 visitors each year, SCOPE Miami Beach caters for seasoned tastemakers looking for the latest innovations in contemporary art. Providing a springboard and meeting-point for upcoming talents, gallerists, collectors and enthusiasts, this year’s edition will welcome 120 international exhibitors from 22 countries and 57 cities.

Galleries in attendance include Muriel Guepin Gallery, Paris, with photography by Laurent Chehere; Rumney Guggenheim, Brooklyn, showcasing installation projects by Moral Turgeman; Mirus Gallery, San Francisco, with Filipe Pantone; The Cool Hunter, Melbourne, with images by CJ Hendry; New York’s Emmanuel Fremin Gallery and recent work by Antoine Rose; and Station 16 Gallery, Montreal, presenting sculpture by artist WhatisAdam.

Alongside an international set of gallery booths, SCOPE will introduce a new, spacious pavilion to showcase a VIP programme comprised of three specially curated sections: Juxtapoz Presents, the Breeder Program and FEATURE. An original incubator for emerging work, SCOPE’s Breeder Program celebrates its 15th year of introducing new galleries to the contemporary market. A remarkable opportunity for exposure, Breeder Program alumni include: Peres Projects, John Connelly Presents, Galeria Enrique Guerrero, Daniel Reich Gallery, Bischoff/ Weiss and Spinello Projects.

Meanwhile, now in its 4th edition, Juxtapoz Presents celebrates artwork that bends, blends and transcends genre. Featuring 17 innovative galleries, Juxtapoz Presents embodies the New Contemporary that is SCOPE’s hallmark. Elsewhere FEATURE highlights 10 international galleries presenting artists who expand upon and challenge the traditional definition of photography.
