Trygve Skogrand is a post-photographic artist from Norway. In his work he examines themes of human value, meaning and vulnerability – or as in this series: shame.
He explains: “What inspires me is confusion. Things that doesn’t seem to fit in, that appear ugly, worthless, and without meaning often are starting points for my work. Can I find meaning and beauty in the discarded and unseen?”
Skogrand’s works have been published in several books, and exhibited in Norway, Sweden, Italy and the UK. He currently lives and works in the Lofoten Islands in Northern Norway.
