Toby Dye

Film director Stanley Kubrick’s trademark long zooms down corridors, notably used in Barry Lyndon, inspired this installation by Toby Dye. The Corridor evokes a hypnotic, disorientating Kubrickian effect in a square room in which each wall is a screen displaying a never-ending tracking shot down the same corridor, each inhabited by different characters and narratives.

The Corridor, 2016. 4200cm2 box room projecting four 16:9 HD films onto the walls.
