Germany-based fine art photographer Thomas Zika works with the medium to reflect upon the conditions of the way we detect reality. He notes: “I am interested in the blind spots that are embedded in all of our senses, and I try to create oscillation figures to reflect upon our mechanisms of perception.”
In his recent series Somnambule and Drama Queens, Zika has developed photographic methods using chaos and chance in an attempt to rebalance the paradoxical power and frailty of control.
