Much of Smith’s photography is concerned with the continuous search for something that is elusive and unattainable. As the Crow Flies addresses an undeniable and deeply-held fascination with birds, but ultimately it looks at the complex symbolism and metaphor that surrounds them and their connection to life’s transitions and challenges.
