Sam Williams

Sam Williams’s assemblages of video, text, installation and performance occupy a world in a state of transition, addressing themes of gender, environment, belonging and the body. They have both a spatial dimension, concerned with the mutual effects of site on the body, and a sculptural one, presenting often failed attempts to orientate oneself within a space.

Until they feel – ahead of them – a barrier, 2016. HD video projection, OSB board hoarding, single channel audio.
