Mina Talaee is an award-winning visual artist, sculptor and researcher based in Tehran. Her work is mainly focused on Iran’s post-revolutionary figurative sculpture, and addresses power relations and cultural hegemony as well as issues such as displacement and migration.
Her skills include working with wood, metal, fibre, and traditional techniques such as kilim and carpet weaving.
Talaee holds a PhD in Art Research from Alzahra University and is currently a member of the Institute for Promotion of Visual Arts. Her work has appeared in more than 30 exhibitions around the world.
