Linda Kosciewicz’s work explores female identity, emotion and transience through constructed worlds, self-representation and performance. She is simultaneously both subject and object performing an enigmatic narrative.
Her work considers the objectivity of the female body in relation to the male gaze. Images show the female body in mysterious, fragmented and dislocated spaces and suggest emotions and ideas such as desire, joy, longing, loss, love and the transience of human experience. The result is a blurring boundary between inner consciousness and the outer presentation of female identity.
Kosciewicz has exhibited throughout the UK, France, Poland and Malaysia.
