Following a long-term interest in the notion of contemporary simulacra, Rowell has become increasingly concerned with the internet age, exploring the loss of physical reality in light of the digital. In this piece, 45,000 different coloured dots have been assembled on canvas to recreate seven pages of the novel Case Histories by Kate Atkinson.
