Irina Neacsu is a designer and botanical artist ASBA. She is intrigued by organic forms, which she approaches using various techniques – from classical to abstract.
A naturalistic style leads Neacsu’s work through a variety of forms of expression such as botanical illustrations, ink and graphic works, as well as abstract and surrealistic oil paintings.
In her latest series The Book of Moods, she employs realistic painting as a storytelling technique to depict intricate moods as surreal narratives. Botanical subjects become metaphors of mortality and ephemeral beauty.
