Harry Bunce

Harry Bunce’s Sorry… series explores ways of representing the same ambiguous character in various settings within different media.

He believes the subject of a tearful rabbit and the use of Sorry… “invites the viewer to question what has the rabbit done, or perhaps whether something has been done to it. By constantly adjusting the media, scale and surroundings, I think the perceptions are further altered”.

The Sorry… project has thus far included painting, screen-printing, collage, stenciling, street art, transfer printing, poster design and reclamation.

Bunce’s latest pieces include an audience participation element. An online campaign asked “What have you got to be sorry for?”. Respondents were sent a small Sorry… print to complete and return; the prints are then used to create further pieces.
