Emily Joy

Through sculpture, installation and performance art, Emily Joy questions the acts of remembering and re-imagining. The boundaries of the self, limits of the physical body and the properties of material masses are all confronted in her work. Recent work has focused on the implications of compressing earth, either through our tread or through the building techniques of ramming.
