Ella Husbands is a Brighton-based artist whose work explores notions of disrupted perception.
She uses layers of light and colour to evoke distorted environments and provoke the audience to think about the relationship between their own senses and their surroundings.
Husbands’ installation Embodied Distortion is an exploration of altered human sensory perception and a disrupted sense of time. It is connected to her experience with chronic fatigue syndrome and her interest in representing environments through the lens of disrupted perception.
