Charlotte Pann

Vienna-based artist Charlotte Pann focuses on the phenomenon of relation as a base for and as a result of spatial constellation.

In her latest series Antithesis she explores the illuminating and obscuring dimensions of light – the accumulation of knowledge and the loss of field of vision.

Black and white self-portraits created in a photo booth function as image motifs for photography. Illumination of the image motifs is effected only through addition of light in the form of glow sticks.

The work, designed as a sequence, toys with the idea of the variability of form and subject matter through light.
