Agne Kisonaite, who usually uses the pseudonym AgneArt, creates art objects using outdated or used goods. Her latest aesthetically pleasing yet shocking work, Diabetes (top image), is made of used insulin pens. In this ongoing project she attempts to bring attention to the enormous growth of worldwide cases of the disease.
She has also created art objects out of used lipsticks, nail polish bottles and rubber medicine gloves. Though her practice is focused on paintings and art installations, she also designs furniture and handmade carpets. The subject of all of her art is women and the feminine world, consumerism and artificial beauty.
