Poignant Histories
Uriel Orlow’s Theatrum Botanicum, opening at Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, positions the natural world as a stage for politics, profoundly engaging with the impact of colonialism. The images consider the representation of history from the dual viewpoints of South Africa and Europe, whilst offering an insight into the artist’s methodology.
