Rencontres d’Arles: Exploring Photography’s Varied Aesthetics

No Limits
In its 42 year history, Rencontres d’Arles photography festival has offered an unique proposition: a celebration of styles and practices without over-emphasising photography’s boundaries. With this underlying ethos, the festival embraces the new age of the photograph; stating that we have become “a species of editors” creating more than ever because “resources are limitless.” With this in mind, this year’s festival boasts 60 exhibitions and is themed around connections to Mexico from the revolution through to the present day.

The festival continued until 18 September 2011. www.rencontres-arles.com.
