Widely known for his documentation of the Neues Bauen movement in modernist architecture during the 1920s, Werner Mantz’s clean, monumental images made Cologne’s architecture iconic. In Architectures and People, Museum Ludwig, Cologne, extends its gaze to examine his portraits, a much under-recognised part of his oeuvre.
