Bringing a sense of romanticism to isolated landscapes, Belgian visual artist Pierre Putman is drawn to the aesthetics of artificial light and the enigmatic nature of nocturnal worlds.

Soft folds of light flood through the photographs like water – filling the space with illuminated cones, tunnels and pathways through the darkness.

Putman roams night-time landscapes to capture a specific mood and moment in time where streetlamps are punctuation for the open road and all its possibilities.
