Latitude Platform for Brazilian Art Galleries Abroad, Art Basel Miami Beach, Miami

Latitude Platform for Brazilian Art Galleries Abroad brings an energetic programme to Art Basel Miami Beach. Over the next few days, the Latitude programme will support 15 Brazilian galleries in showcasing leading contemporary art at Art Basel’s 13th Miami Beach edition. As a premier international destination for Latin American galleries, Latitude’s creative platform also invites nine additional Brazilian galleries to display work at three satellite art fairs across the region: Context, Untitled Art Fair and Pinta Miami.

Running until the 7 December, this year’s Latitude highlights at Art Basel Miami Beach include A Gentil Carioca’s vast presentation of works by Alexandre Vogler, Botner & Pedro, Bernardo Ramalho, Cabelo, and Carlos Contente, and Galeria Fortes Vilaça’s showcase of innovative pieces by Agnieszka Kurant, Cristiano Lenhardt, Erika Verzutti and Ernesto Neto. Meanwhile, Casa Triângulo exhibit key artists Albano Afonso, Assume Vivid Astro Focus and Eduardo Berliner. Additional members in Art Basel’s Galleries sector include Luciana Brito Galeria, Galeria Millan and Galeria Raquel Arnaud. Galeria Luisa Strina also makes a special appearance, celebrating 40 years since its founder Luisa Strina started her collection.

Alongside the main gallery programme, Latitude can be found at Art Basel’s Nova, offering audiences the chance to view new and never-before-seen works from dynamic and emerging practitioners including Angelo Venosa, Otavio Shipper and Waltercio Caldas. Elsewhere in Miami, the Brazilian programme takes part in Pinta, an intimate environment for contemporary art from Latin America, Spain and Portugal, and Untitled Art Fair, a platform dedicated to supporting the best in emerging and midcareer contemporary art practitioners from around the world. Finally, Latitude also takes part in Context – Art Basel Miami Beach’s sister fair for upcoming new talent.

You can keep up-to-date with the Latitude programme via the Brazil Art Gallery Guide App for iOS and Android.
