Indelible Traces

Indelible Traces
“I have come to think of the land as being an enormous historical archive.” Mark Ruwedel’s work, on display at Tate Modern, London, captures abandoned railways, nuclear testing sites and empty desert homes. Taken across North America, the black and white images demonstrate how geological, historical and political events have shaped the natural landscape.
