Inspired by journeys through the Mexican countryside, Adam Wiseman’s Free Architecture, on display at Chalton Gallery, London, captures the diverse buildings that define the landscape.
The buildings are expressions of reward and struggle; each personally crafted by residents working in the US. Expanding the limits of imagination, the structures defy architectural convention through a bold use of colour, style and form.
Tapping into longstanding traditions of craftsmanship whilst reflecting on life in – and outside – contemporary Mexico, the diverse series looks into the stories behind the facades, exploring untold narratives.
The works are on display from 7-22 September. Find out more here.
