Centenary Style

To celebrate the centenary of the birth of photographer Irving Penn, the Grand Palais, Paris, pays tribute to this key 20th century artist who is famous for his images of major personalities such as Yves Saint Laurent, Audrey Hepburn and Alfred Hitchcock. Characterised by an elegant simplicity and a remarkable rigour, his meticulous portraits exude a particular intimacy and connection with his subjects. Open from 21 September, this exhibition is organised in partnership with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and The Irving Penn Foundation.
