SOLO, a new strand of Investec Cape Town Art Fair, celebrates the contributions of female artists, investigating the socio-political issues faced by women in both public and private arenas. Curator Nontobeko Ntombela notes: “I am interested in the idea of how these artists deal with circumstances that are particular to them; women have always employed ways in which their work has an extended self.” Featured image: Keyezua, represented by Mov’art.
