Unseen Photo Fair, Amsterdam

From 26 until 29 September Unseen Photo Fair will take over the Westergasfabriek area in Amsterdam. With a campaign image shot by internationally acclaimed photographer Viviane Sassen, the second edition of the fair looks to promote work by emerging talents and otherwise unseen pieces. Sassen will also appear within the event too and her representing gallery, Stevenson, will exhibit  a unique solo show of work never seen before.

At the fair there will be 41 galleries from 13 different countries. New participants include Galeria Tagomago from Barcelona, Galerie EstherWoerdehoff from Paris and Galerie Fons Welters from Amsterdam. The event is geared towards offering all guests the opportunity to purchase photography. Unseen is not only a fair for experienced collectors but also for those for whom collecting is a new experience. With this in mind, there will be a special collection of work available to buy for less than 1000 euros. The Unseen Collection offers all photography enthusiasts a unique overview of contemporary work.

Much more than a fair, there will also be films, debates and special guests in the programme. For the Unseen Speakers’ Corner,  a diverse range of speakers have been invited to share their views on some of the current issues in photography. Themes include Editing the World, How to Survive in a Globalising World and Film and Photography. In addition to these, Nalden, founder of WeTransfer, will give a talk in collaboration with three renowned experts on changing technology and online developments. There will also be a selection of prizes presented including the  Outset/Unseen Exhibition Fund and the Dummy Award.

Unseen Photo Fair, 26 – 29 September across Amsterdam.
