NOISE Festival Open for Entries

NOISE Festival is now open for entries. The award-winning national arts charity has announced an outstanding line up of Curators to handpick online entries for the 2014 event, including fashion designer Giles Deacon, games legend Ian Livingstone CBE (Tomb Raider), architect Sir Nicholas Grimshaw (Eden Project), pioneering musician Brian Eno, acclaimed cartoonist Gerald Scarfe CBE (Pink Floyd’s The Wall), cult horror film writer Clive Barker, photographer Elaine Constantine, and arts broadcaster Tim Marlow (White Cube Gallery) and more.

The festival offers opportunities to emerging creatives and invites them to submit their work for free, via e-Portfolios on the NOISE Festival website. These profiles are then rated by a selection industry professionals across 14 categories that include Fashion, Fine Art, Music, Photography, Graphics, Film, Product Design and Enterprise. The aim of the event is to highlight undiscovered creative talent and give them the opportunity to gain recognition, professional endorsement, mentorship and job opportunities.

Entries are open until 31 May and successful entrants are also chosen to take part in a monthly “webinar” with one of these Curators for an exclusive Q&A session. The artist choices will be announced online in Autumn 2014, the works will go on to be showcased in a series of nationwide events. All of the best finalists are offered paid placements and mentorship with the Curators or other leading creative sector companies, while the other finalists can access other opportunities via media partnerships and pro/amateur collaborations at showcase events.
