Aesthetica Art Prize Talks: Cherie Federico, Editor of Aesthetica Magazine

Cherie Federico is the Editor of Aesthetica Magazine, and judge for the Aesthetica Art Prize. She will be leading the fourth talk in the series held at York St Mary’s as part of the Aesthetica Art Prize exhibition – a dynamic and innovative display of outstanding contemporary art from around the world, running until 22 June.

Join Federico on Wednesday 28 May from 12.30 to approximately 1pm, as she explains the selection process for the shortlisted artists within the setting of the exhibition. There is an opportunity to ask questions following the talk, and to walk around the exhibits at your leisure.

The Aesthetica Art Prize exhibition features eight shortlisted pieces. Selected from over 3,000 entries, the judging process was fierce, with exhibiting artists hailing from around the world including New Zealand, Chile, Germany, Italy and across the UK.

A further 92 longlisted artworks are also displayed on monitors within the gallery, extending the international scope of this show and presenting a rare opportunity to engage with so many compelling new works. The categories are Photographic and Digital Art; Three Dimensional Design and Sculpture; Painting and Drawing, and Video, Installation and Performance.
