Jamie Hawkesworth (b.1987) originally studied Forensic Science at the University of Central Lancashire, when he first picked up a camera to capture reconstructed crime scenes. It was this pivotal moment that kick-started a trajectory towards becoming a well-known name in British documentary photography. Huis Marseille, Amsterdam, brings together a collection of these seminal pieces, offering a nuanced and empathetic portrayal of Northern England.
